To obtain the very BEST benefits from your massage, we recommend our clients to take the following steps before and after your visit.

Preparation and Scheduling

  1. Choose an appointment time that provides plenty of time for transportation. Your leisurely drive to our office suite sets the stage for more immediate relaxation, providing the full benefits of massage, from start to finish. If possible, arrive a few minutes early for your appointment.

  2. Perform some general stretching activities just before your visit or as you prepare for massage in our office. This will help to identify areas of tension in your body that may otherwise go untreated.

  3. If you are visiting A Perfect Touch Plus to address a specific physical condition or injury, please advise us when you make your appointment, so that we may consider treatment alternatives that are most appropriate for your benefit.

After Your Massage

We can't emphasize enough the benefits of hydrotherapy (water therapy) after your massage. The manipulation of your muscles provides release of the toxins that become stored there from the everyday stresses of life.

  1. Drink plenty of fluids. We recommend that you consume at least three 8oz servings of pure spring water. Also, avoid Alcohol, which dehydrates the body, and interferes with the release of toxins.

Try our recipes for herbal teas that serve to open capillaries, further benefiting the release of toxins from the body.

  1. Soak in a bath with sea salts. Scientists have discovered that sea water and its minerals very closely resemble the composition of human blood plasma. Greeks were among the first to utilize sea water, sea plants and minerals for hydrotherapy... over a thousand years ago! The salt serves to help draw the toxins from the body, while sea plants and minerals provide nourishment through (and to) the skin. (Epson salt is a viable alternative, though it does not provide the same nourishing benefits.)

See information on our Full Moon Bath created with sea salts from the Dead Sea for more information on the benefits of sea water therapy.

  1. Allow for at least 20 minutes of post-massage relaxation. This step helps to extend the benefits of your massage by allowing muscles to full adjust into their new refreshed state.
